Cristobal Balenciaga founded Balenciaga in Paris in 1951 and taught fashion legends Oscar de la Renta, André Courrèges, Emanuel Ungaro, Mila Schön and Hubert de Givenchy. Christian Dior proclaimed him "The master of us all." Balenciaga had impeccable taste in Needlepoint rugs and Bessarabian rugs.
