As a designer of the Asmara Decorative Rug Collections I am fascinated by the creative exchange between separate domains. Today's source of inspiration is women's fashion. I looks for sudden and drastic shifts in moods in women's fashion. They are usually an early trend forecaster of decorative rug fashions in the coming years.

This week I have been enjoying our annual family summer vacation in Maine where the misty pine covered islands completely draw me in to nature. This a good time to share some of the pictures I have taken this spring and summer. We will try to learn nature's color composition secrets. Today's post will focus on the color purple.
