As winter brings snow to parts of the country not used to seeing it, it is not just in New England that we start thinking of how to make our homes cozy and comfortable. One of the most important factors in making a room feel inviting is the right rug and Oushak rugs with soft, silky pile come first to mind. The best Oushak rugs have thick, lustrous pile that will cushion your feet in luxury and keep them well insulated from cold, hard floors. The subtle patterns of Oushak rugs have a certain magic that reminds you of centuries old traditions which can bring a rich beauty and distinction to a room design. To create a cozy, inviting living room, dining area or bedroom, look for Oushak rugs in muted, earthy tones such as coral, terra cotta, salmon, cinnamon, warm yellow accent colors on a cream, beige or gold background. The four stunning interiors in todays post show how interior designers use these rugs to maximum effect, playing into their luxurious textures, bringing out their warm hues, complementing their evocative patterns, and letting their traditional elegance shine and define the space.
