How to Decorate with Black, White, Grey Rugs- 7 Dazzling Interiors

Today we study how AD 100 interior designer Juan Montoya  creates dazzlingly luxurious interiors with a sophisticated Art Deco aesthetic. Montoya heightens drama by placing black and white rugs on black laquered floors and creating patterns by placing white rugs on black floors. In images 3 and 4 Montoya incorporates geometric elements from Mesoamerican architecture in a fresh and imaginative way, improving on the classic Art Deco rugs by Ivan Da Silva-Bruhns.

Interest is created by the interplay of curved forms of the black chair, white coffee table and piano. The greenish-grey walls and taupe leather sofa are unexpected touches.
