The Decorating Flexibility of Grey Geometric Rugs: 10 Chic Interiors

1. AD100 interior designer Alexa Hampton chose a custom blue-grey geometric rug in a cane pattern to showcase the Calder and Miro paintings in this living room. The cane pattern is traditional, but the blue-grey colors gives it a contemporary feel so the rug is able to tie the traditional and contemporary elements in this room into a harmonious composition. 2. AD 100 interior designer Michael S. Smith brought a feeling of warmth and modernity to Cindy Crawford’s Malibu bedroom with a shaggy piled grey Moroccan rug whose ancient diamond pattern feels surprisingly modern. Interior designers Haynes-Roberts Inc. are known for selecting furniture with interesting sculptural character as is evident in the sofa, chairs, coffee table, accessories and art in this living room. There is a mix of Art Deco, Art Nouveau and modern styles. What unifies everything is the custom pale blue and grey silk rug. 6. This view of the Haynes-Roberts designed living room shows that the blue and grey silk rug is enhanced by a black lacquered floor. AD 100 Parisian interior designer Jean-Louis Deniot chose a custom grey wool and silk rug in a large scale neoclassical geometric pattern that reflects the ceiling pattern in this living room in a Chicago apartment. The bright yellow in the painting brings in the feeling of sunshine. The box like shapes of the chairs are softened by curved legs whose curvature is echoed by the legs of the brass coffee table.
